The Scoop in July

We love going to Silver Lake where our friends, the Barnes, have a cabin.
Every summer they invite us. This year we brought some cousins along too!

He basically hung out there all night, and by the end he had blisters on his hands.
His dedication was amazing!

We had the opportunity as a company to go to Rock Springs WY for International Day. Shayden and I did face painting, Tayevion, Jonas and Jasmine did glimmer tattoos, and Jasmine also twisted balloons. We didn't know what to expect but figured it would be a fun mini family vacation.
Our car was rear ended while we were there so that wasn't fun but fortunately there was minor damage. In the end we were so surprised at how much money we made! I was just so happy that we could all be there together. Working hard as a family is very rewarding!

Of course the pool is always a huge highlight

We had a competition to see who could make the most tips so we each had a jar and Shayden won! The kids were amazed and so happy with how much they made!

We had a yard sale to raise money for the humanitarian portion of our trip to Guatemala and we raised $500!

Jonas and I got to see Big River at Hale Center Theater. 
It was very good but will never top the Playmill version the year we met.

The Scoop in December (and Christmas)

Playing the piano all together-aww Christkindlmarkt at This is the Place Tayevion loves scouts! At the beginning of December we took our annual trip to Boston and New York. This year we got to be there to help with Ellie's birthday party. The theme was poop emoji, haha! Then it was off to New York City! But first-the kids love to play at the Logan Airport play area. My parents came with us (yay!) This time we took the Long Island Railroad into the city. It was empty, clean and much faster.
