Trip to Guatemala 2016

 This year Shayden and Jonas had the wonderful opportunity to go to Guatemala for the first time!
It was a fantastic adventure for our group of 14 people. We went to the North, South, East and West and made many great memories.




We worked with Cultiva International to help build garden boxes that the locals could use to grow food for their families. It was such a rewarding experience to raise money to donate and then work along side the locals and these amazing people. It was a super rainy day but that didn't stop us.

He is a talented photographer, just like his dad.

The food was so yummy. The kids complained that we only fed them twice a day but even if that is true, both daily meals were delicious!

Due to protests (we had THREE roadblocks due to protests in this trip) we had to change our plans of going to Tikal and instead went to see the ruins at Yaxha. They were still pretty stunning ruins.

The Scoop in December (and Christmas)

Playing the piano all together-aww Christkindlmarkt at This is the Place Tayevion loves scouts! At the beginning of December we took our annual trip to Boston and New York. This year we got to be there to help with Ellie's birthday party. The theme was poop emoji, haha! Then it was off to New York City! But first-the kids love to play at the Logan Airport play area. My parents came with us (yay!) This time we took the Long Island Railroad into the city. It was empty, clean and much faster.
